There is something about writing down a list of things to do on a piece of paper and checking them off when it’s done that gets me all kinds of giddy! Now, take that to do list or schedule and add in a gorgeous binder, a few stamps, inkpads in a rainbow of colors, a few labels and stickers and I am completely smitten! I have been using a paper planner for what feels like forever now. Like many other planner addicts, I’ve gone through my fair share of binders and planners in all shapes, sizes and colors and inserts in all sorts of formats! Got washi? Why yes, yes I do! Don’t get me started on the journaling cards and pens, I could go on and on!
My planner pages are very minimally decorated! There, I said it! I put it out in the world for everyone to know! I bet you’re thinking, “but she makes all these planner stamps and sells all these paper goodies?” Well, you’re right! I make stamps and sell paper goods and I use them in my planner BUT for me, it’s about function. Too much washi or stickers and my brain loses focus on what’s important, the tasks and schedule at hand.
This is the extent of my decorating and most of the time, my pages have even less than what’s in the photos!
Now mind you, I’m not knocking anyone here! I admire decorated pages just as much as the next person. And follow quite a few Instagrammers who do fabulous work! I just know that isn’t what works for me and when it all comes down to it, you should do what works for YOU!
Over the next few weeks I’ll be diving into the wonderful world of planners. We’ll take a look at the different types of planners out there from various different companies and all sorts of different inserts and pretties for all you decorating fans!
Now it’s your turn to fess up….are YOU a planner addict like me? Or are you just getting your feet wet and testing the waters?
